ARTISTS
Raye Varney
Raye joined the 7 Stages staff in 2002 after almost a decade in Atlanta arts administration. She has worked as the Marketing Director for both the Rialto Center for the Performing Arts and Georgia Shakespeare, and she also served as the head of communications for Georgia Council for the Arts. She spent the summer of 1996 running the Press Center for Atlanta's Cultural Olympiad and she has a B.A. in Theatre and in English from Wake Forest University. Her theater background includes acting, stage management and sound design, and she's worked at both the Barter Theatre in Virginia and the Hampstead Theatre in London. In 2004, she was selected as one 50 arts leaders from across the country to participate in the Executive Program for Non-Profit Leaders in the Arts, hosted by the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and co-sponsored by National Arts Strategies.
