Scott Turner Schofield
Scott Turner Schofield (the performance artist formerly known as Kt Kilborn) is a displaced Southerner in constant transition. Schofield began his performance art career working as a research assistant to Holly Hughes and Carmelita Tropicana at the WOW Cafe in 2000. Now a wandering writer and performance artist, he tours his acclaimed one-trannie shows, Underground TRANSit and Debutante Balls to festivals, colleges, and conferences far and wide, while also creating new work, collaborating with artists and communities, and facilitating performance art workshops for teenagers and college students. Schofield believes in the power of performance for social change, and was honored as the youngest-ever recipient a Tanne Foundation award in 2004.
