Naomi Lavender
Naomi Lavender is an impassioned local artist and performer. She lives her life for music, beauty and creativity. Naomi is a multi-instrumentalist and proficient vocalist and you may have seen her in past performances of Jesus Christ Superstar put on by the Little Five Points Rock Star Orchestra or playing around town solo and with other groups. She is also a session artist. Maybe you’ve heard her on your favorite recordings and didn’t even know it. Naomi takes great pride in recording her own music and layering miles and miles of Medusan chords with her voice. She is the founder of Open Mic night at Java Lords and is also a mighty fine barista. She has acted in short films and will work with the independent film maker, Rob Tiffin, later this year on a picture called Piece of Sun. Naomi is also a fashion model and enjoys designing her own costumes. Like the goddess Athena, she too has a great affinity for owls. She is so thrilled to be working on a show of this magnitude and purpose. Nothing makes her happier than being in an ensemble of talented people performing high energy movement, singing rich, silky chords while imparting a powerful message. Naomi feels the show is still so relevant to our society today and hopes the production will help to open people’s minds. We are all one. Thus, being a part of this WAPOWIM tribe has come to mean so much to her.
