Internships and Apprenticeships
7 STAGES OFFERS ADMINISTRATIVE & PRODUCTION INTERNSHIPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

Internships often focus on hands-on entry level experiences within an arts nonprofit, are usually short-term (1-3 months), and provide compensation in the form of college credit, vouchers, and exclusive opportunities.

Administrative opportunities range from marketing, community relations, event planning, development, literary research and dramaturgy.  We want to offer you experience in how to run a non-profit theatre! This is a twelve to twenty-hour workweek scheduled during our office hours: 10am – 6pm Monday through Friday. Additionally, you may be asked to work special events in the evenings and on weekends. Full time (40 hours) positions are also available on a limited basis.

Production opportunities are tailored to your desires as a rising artist.  The hours vary according to our production calendar.  Some interns work as Production Assistants with a team of designers, tech crew, and actors.

APPRENTICESHIPS ARE OFFERED BASED ON OUR NEEDS AND AVAILABILITY.

Apprenticeships are longer-term (1 year) paid experiences, and stipends will be allotted per production that the apprentice is involved in. They often lead to continued employment at the theatre or a mutually beneficial relationship. Apprenticeships include a tailored training plan, with a focus on mastering specific skills pertaining to arts/theatre production. This is a way for emerging theatre professionals to hone their skills, establish professional connections, and train in a specific field.
