Little 5 Points has a history of being a welcoming place to people from all backgrounds as well as a space of activism, community, free expression, and unheard voices. Join the Alliance on Sunday, August 21 as we celebrate and recognize the people who have been and continue to be such a critical part of what makes L5P unique through our annual People Make the Place celebration and fundraiser to support the L5P Alliance’s work within the district.

Hosted at L5P’s own 7 Stages Theatre, we’ll share the stories of dedicated individuals and organizations and their role in creating the Little 5 Points we know and love today.

Awards: 

  • Don Bender Legacy Award:  in recognition of an individual who has demonstrated a legacy commitment to the sustainability, promotion and invigoration of Little 5 Points. 2022 Awardees: Don and Judy Bender

  • UPlift L5P Award: in recognition of a resident, organization, elected official, property owner or business owner that shows above and beyond commitment to the betterment and future of L5P. 2022 Awardees: L5P Pharmacy, BOND FCU, and Moods Music

  • “In Memoriam”:  Recognition and memorial for those who were integral to the development of modern L5P who are no longer with us. 2002 Awardees: L5P Pub Founders and Bass Organization for Neighborhood Development

Your financial support through this fundraiser helps the L5P Alliance and our member organizations’ collaborative efforts around mobility, placemaking, public safety, and arts & culture.
